The group chat

Each group lives in its chat. The winning film, the date you set and the group's verdict all post there, between the messages.

When someone adds a film or show to the group list, it shows up there too.

Two polls, so nobody has to be the one who decides.

Staying in: nominate films, then vote for every one you'd be happy with. The most votes wins.

Going out: pick real screenings from Cineplex, Le Clap and Cinemark near you, or add your own times for any other cinema. Everyone ticks the times they can make, and you lock one in.

The Q&A

Is it free?

Yes, and it stays free. Right now it's in beta on iPhone and Android.

Can I use it without a group?

Yes. Your diary, lists, search, news and where to watch all work on your own. Start a group whenever you want company.

Do I need to be a film buff?

Only if you want to be. Tap a score when the credits roll, or write a full review and log every rewatch. Both belong here.

Do my friends need the app?

Not to vote. Share a poll's link and they vote from their phone's browser. For the chat, watch together and scores, they'll want the app.

How does watch together work?

Tap Open on TV. With Netflix or Prime Video, the film opens on your Android TV or in Chrome on your laptop, paused at the start, and plays for everyone once you're all ready. With any other app, everyone presses play when the countdown hits zero. See how to set it up.

Which cinemas can we poll?

Any of them. For Cineplex and Le Clap in Canada and Cinemark in the US, the real showtimes are on the film's page: tick a few and the group votes on the times. For any other cinema, tap Plan it yourself, type the place and add the days and times that suit you. The group votes on those instead, in the chat or from a link.

What about spoilers?

Comments on a show unlock as you catch up on its episodes, and a film's discussion opens once you've logged it.

Where does the film information come from?

Film and show data comes from TMDB, where it's streaming from JustWatch, and trailers from YouTube.

How do I delete my account?

In the app, go to Profile, then Settings, then Delete account. You can also request it on the web.
